Intro

Welcome to BenchMaths, free engineering calculators for the workshop. This video gives you a quick tour.

What is BenchMaths

BenchMaths runs in your browser, on a computer, tablet or phone, with nothing to install. It has fourteen calculators for welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics and drives, and every result shows its formula and the standard behind

it. You can try it straight away. In this live box, pick a steel grade and a plate thickness, and the minimum preheat is calculated immediately, according to EN 1011-2. Further down you find all calculators, grouped by topic. The weight and bill of materials calculator works completely without an account.

Free account

For the other calculators, create a free account. Enter your name, e-mail address and a password, or sign in with Google in one click. Your work is then saved and available on every device.

Finding a calculator

After signing in, the calculators are arranged in four groups: welding, fabrication, hydraulics and pneumatics, and motors and electrics. Or simply search. Type what you need, for example cable, and open the calculator from the list. At the top you can switch between metric and imperial units, and between English and Turkish, at any time.

Company profile

In the company profile, enter your company name and upload your logo once. They are printed at the top of your WPS and bill of materials PDFs.

Guides

In the guides section you find practical articles, for example on welding Hardox, preheating S355, or the difference between a WPS and a PQR.
